The bracket edges are pricing levers
Amazon's tiered categories create real cliff effects: a $15.00 clothing item pays 5% referral while $15.01 pays 10% on the whole price — the extra cent costs you 75¢. A $10.00 beauty item pays 80¢; $10.49 pays $1.57. If your price sits within pennies of a bracket edge, that's not a rounding decision, it's a margin decision.
